SPRAT/ARAA Conversion

ARAA and SPRAT have a long-standing relationship. Both associations are member- driven organisations that aim to advance the safe use of rope access through education, standards development and certification administration.

In October of 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding between ARAA and SPRAT was signed which brought the two standards closer together. Allowing further recognition and conformity between them.

In March of 2019, ARAA decided to pass on the certification of rope access technicians to SPRAT. The management of the certification process and subsequent training became the responsibility of SPRAT.

ARAA is still passionate and committed to the rope access industry within Australia. The focus now, is to evolve into an independent and impartial advisory association. This provides service to the Australian rope access community.

So what does that mean to you? Simply put, IF you have a current or expired (by no more than 3 years) ARAA certification, when you book to rectify or upgrade, you will take part in a SPRAT rope access training program and be given a SPRAT certification and logbook upon success completion.

If you have any questions about ARAA or SPRAT standards, feel free to give us a call! We would be happy to chat!
